The veggie "shooter" attachment looks big and clunky in the photo but it is incredibly easy to use and to clean. The "shooter" is for slicing, shredding, etc. It replaces the bowl/lid and you "shoot" into a large bowl. So fast for shredding everything- carrots, cheese, you name it. I have six of the "shooter" blades- but I usually come back to the ones that come with the machine. Mine came with a medium slicer and a medium shredder. It also had the steel blade and a bread "hook" blade.

I thought I would not like having a solid color (as opposed to clear) bowl but I was wrong. The lid is clear and that is plenty of viewing area.

The machine is not beautiful.....but neither is a Sherman Tank-LOL
