I believe the lower end models- that they say are "$1200 but now going for $750" might be made for the home cooks that want a better machine than what is available as residential models. This 10-cup model was not available when I got my RC- so check and make certain they are the highest-rated motor, etc. If this 10-cup model has the big motor, then woo-hoo! You just saved yourself a couple hundred bucks.

It might be like what John Deere did with riding lawn mowers when they made an entire JD line for Home Depot. They ARE John Deeres but the motors, etc are different. I know. I bought one.

Check with restaurant supply houses that sell used equipment. You might get lucky!
