they cooked lunch for us using some of the produce out of my CSA share - pomodoro fresca and a risotto with some of the zucchini. But the most hilarious part is that I showed up late and Giancarlo evidently loved my produce and had it all out on the table photographing it. They said he went wild photographing it. I'm going to see if he'll send me some of the photos.
I'm going to find a way to take a long lunch or something tomorrow so that I can go out there as they are going to assemble one of the practice pieces. Tuesday they make their move out to Opryland - that should be interesting as it's three large custom made crates full of all sorts of molds and such. Premade pieces of pastillage, pulled sugar and chocolate. And tons of tools. Almost 3k# worth. And there is good chance of it raining.
I'll post pictures but I don't want to do that until after the competition. Just want 'our' team to win and don't want to risk any part of it being seen.
Hubby is starting to understand it but it's just such a once in a lifetime opportunity or at least a rare opportunity that doesn't come around very often. I just can't keep from spending as much time around them as possible. Just watching them - there are so many tips that I have learned, not that I'll ever use them but......
