Sausage corn chowder

Sausage corn chowder--ready in 45 minutes or less.
1 lb. bulk sausage, browned and drained
1C chopped onion
1 28 oz. can diced tomatoes
1 tomato can of water
1 can whole kernel corn, undrained
1 can cream style corn
Dash black pepper
3-4 diced new potatoes, optional
3 TBS dried basil(I used 1 T)
1 small can evaporated milk

Combine all except the milk. Simmer for 30-
45 minutes. Add milk--do not boil. Serve.
